Efficient Testing with a Reliable Evaluation Method
High test force precision, provided by a weight-based constant test force loading system, enables high measurement reproducibility andtest efficiency. In addition to increased operability to improve testing efficiency, accurate temperature measurement and stable control areprovided through a reliable temperature control system.
Evaluation of Softening and Flow Beginning TemperatureUsing Constant Heating Rate Testing
Testing methods include a constant temperature method a constant heating rate method. The constant heating ratemethod permits measurement of resin softening temperature and flow beginning temperature to determine shearrate and viscosity at each temperature and cannot be conducted using other capillary type rheometers.
Viscosity Evaluation of Thermosetting Resin
Weight-based constant test force extrusion is used to measure the amount of piston movement (movementspeed), which is used to determine viscosity. Highly reproducible measurements of fluidity of thermosettingresins, which cure rapidly due to heating, can be determined due to the highly precise temperature control andthe range of test forces available.
Improved Efficiency
Enhanced labor-savings have been implemented throughout the entire testing process, from setting of the sample and starting the testto output of the test results. All of this greatly increases the efficiency of production procession, quality control, and research anddevelopment testing.
Chatillon® CS2Plus Digital Force Testers
The Chatillon® CS2Plus digital force testers are revolutionary systems optimized for production testing applications, including medical devices, plastics, packaging, textiles, rubber and electronics to name a few. No personal computer is required; no proprietary software is required; no knowledge of programming languages is required. This easy, flexible and affordable Tester uses a 2 in 1 Laptop Console in both Production and Laboratory environments.
Two options are available. Both the CS2Plus-225 and CS2Plus-1100 provide an easy-to-use, intuitive and straightforward method for tensile, compression, sheer, flexural, peel, or advanced multi-stage testing that conform to ISO or ASTM testing procedures. With the CSPlus Series you can perform:
-
Limit testing to load, displacement, height or time
-
Break testing – sharp or percentage
-
Multi-stage, cyclic tests and height measurements
-
Peel testing
-
Spring Testing
-
Capture 2nd Peak
-
RS-232 Auto Result Export
When repetitive testing and exporting of results is important, but you don’t need advanced materials test functionality, the CS2Plus is an excellent choice.
The Starrett DFC Series may be used as a high-accuracy handheld force gage or as a digital controller for use with the FMM Digital Force Testers. As a controller, the DFC Series serves as the universal interface to your digital force tester. Set up your tests and configure load limits, distance limits, break limits, crosshead travel direction, crosshead speed and more all through the gage.
The DFC features a measurement accuracy of 0.1% full scale with internal data sampling at 25kHz. Display resolution is 10,000:1. The DFC Series features Bluetooth®, USB and RS-232 communications plus digital I/O.
Save up to 99 test results in internal memory. View historical and statistical results.
The DFC Series features a high-resolution 320 x 240 pixel color display with an adjustable backlight. The instrument is powered using a lithium ion battery. The gage is charged using the standard USB cable supplied. Information can be display in multiple languages: English, Deutsch, Portugues, Spanish, French, Italian, Chinese and more.
The DFC Series is supplied with a full set of testing adapters, USB cable and a NIST-traceable certificate of calibration. The DFC Series has a standard 3-year warranty.
The DFE3 Series offers the best price performance of any digital force gauge available today. This compact, easy-to-use force gauge is designed for
basic and complex applications. Ideal for handheld or test stand applications.
Measurement accuracy is better than 0.2% full scale in integral load cell models. A large, easy-to-read, high resolution, full color LCD display supports a
variety of standard gauge functions including normal and peak readings, high/low limits, setpoints, pass/fail results, statistical results, load averaging, loadcell actuation and direction. Loads are displayed in ozf, gf, lbf, kgf and N units. The display can be inverted and displayed results may be “hidden” from the operator. The DFE3 also offers password protection for gauge set ups
The DFG is our basic force gage. The gage measures force at an accuracy of better than 0.2% full scale. Additionally, the DFG Scan be used to measure force with Starrett FMM digital force tester or MTL lever-actuated manual force tester or an MTH hand¬wheel-operated manual force tester. Unlike the Starrett DFC Force Controller, the DFG cannot be used to control the FMM digital force tester.
The DFS3 Series offers the best price performance of any digital force gauge available today. This compact, easy-to-use force gauge is designedfor basic and complex applications. Ideal for handheld or test stand applications, the DFS3 may be equipped with integral loadcells or smart remotesensors for load measurement or torque measurement.Measurement accuracy is better than 0.1% full scale in integral load cell models. A large, easy-to-read, high resolution, full color LCD display supports avariety of standard gauge functions including normal and peak readings, high/low limits, setpoints, pass/fail results, statistical results, load averaging, %and sharp break detection, loadcell actuation and direction. Loads are displayed in ozf, gf, lbf, kgf and N un

DSC-60 Plus addresses a variety of DSC applications
The DSC-60 Plus is an indispensable thermal analyzer for materialscharacterization in R&D and quality control applications in such areas aspolymers, pharmaceuticals, electronic parts , foods , etc. It offers thesensitivity and easy operation required for the development ofhigh-performance, highly functional new materials
High-sensitivity analysis across the entire measured temperature range
The new detector and furnace unit of the DSC-60 Plus series assure a stable baseline throughout the entire range of temperatures measured (-140to 600 °C). Throughout the broad range of temperatures necessary in order to evaluate a wide variety of materials, complicated changes in thecalorimetric value are accurately detected. This allows a DSC to offer high sensitivity and high resolution. The range of calorimetric values measuredhas been expanded nearly threefold (compared with previous Shimadzu models) to ±150 mW. As a result, a dynamic range that is quite suf!cienteven for evaluations of the reactions of chemical substances exhibiting large calorimetric changes is now secured.
Simultaneous TG/DTA improves ease ofoperation, sensitivity and analytical accuracy ofconventional standalone systems
If flexibility and high performance is needed the new DTG-60/60Hcombines them all. Basic functions required by simultaneous thermogravimetry/differential thermal analysis (TG/DTA) measurements are improved. Atmosphere control is programmable. As in DSC, LabSolutions TA provides advanced acquisition, analysis and report functions which ensure comfortable simultaneous measurements.
